VDR-Based Navigational Audit

We analyse recorded bridge data across routine voyages and high-workload situations — port approaches, restricted visibility passages, pilotage, and anchorage operations. Audio recordings reveal communication quality and BRM practices. Radar and ECDIS data show how navigational tools are actually used. Findings are benchmarked against SIRE 2.0, Rightship, and COLREGS expectations. Every audit includes an executive video summary of key findings.

Fleet Enrolment Programme Volume

Volume-based pricing for fleets of three vessels or more. Vessels are audited on a rolling schedule — each report feeds into a quarterly fleet benchmarking pack delivered to shore management, identifying systemic patterns across the fleet rather than isolated vessel findings. Executive video summaries included for each vessel audit.

Voyage Selection & Data Request

We agree the audit scope with the shore team and request VDR data for selected voyages — typically port approaches, restricted visibility passages, and open sea legs. Voyage selection is guided by the vessel’s trading pattern and any known areas of concern.

Written Report & Debrief

A full written report is delivered to the shore team covering all findings with supporting evidence references. A debrief call with the DPA or fleet superintendent walks through findings, corrective actions, and follow-up priorities.

VDR Data Analysis

Audio, radar, ECDIS, helm input, and alarm data are analysed systematically. Findings are cross-referenced against the vessel’s SMS procedures, passage plan, and applicable COLREGS requirements. Each finding is graded using a tied framework.

Executive Video Summary

Key findings are compiled into a short narrated video — structured for senior management review and third-party auditor briefings. No technical jargon. Findings presented in the same format a vetting inspector would use.
